I’m Giulio Villa, an independent Italian packaging illustrator based in Milan, working with
craft breweries and alternative product brands across the US and Europe.
I focus on bold, distinctive label illustrations designed to stand out on the shelf. My style
ranges from psychedelic and expressive to vintage and more restrained, adapting to each brand’s
voice while keeping a clear, recognizable visual approach.
From Corporate Pressure to Creative Freedom
Before going freelance, I spent 7 years as an in-house designer at a children's apparel company, managing complex projects under tight deadlines and navigating the full lifecycle of product development—from concept to production.
That experience taught me how to operate under real-world pressure, manage client expectations, and deliver production-ready work that doesn't require endless back-and-forth revisions.
In 2019, I made the shift to independent work, focusing exclusively on being a packaging designer for craft breweries and brands that value originality over template-based design.
